1. Warriors using trade exception

2. Nuggets using trade exception

3. Raptors for other expiring contracts

4. Just waive him

We haven't brought anyone back (we can use) while losing 2 guys and we have a lack of 3 point shooters. Just et him expire if the only option is more TPE's
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

most likely spot ?

Thorton on the bench backing up James Young, Smart, Crowder

Thorton isn't getting traded . He is a 10 mil expiring , meaning any team that trades for him is looking to get rid of long term salary. We are rebuilding and aren't taking on long term salary unless we are getting a lottery pick back .

Let Thorton expire and keep Wallace as a big expiring contract next year in case we are looking to trade for a big money player .

Too much money, probably not going anywhere.

He shouldn't be playing over Bradley, Smart, Turner, Young, or even Rivers if we get him.

Denver has a couple extra 2nd rounders and a big enough trade exception to take him.

I don't think any team has a trade exception large enough to accommodate his contract.

I dont understand the rationale to keeping him, I would waive him after the deadline (if we can't get picks and an exception) to open up more playing time for the younger players.  I would do the same thing to Bass.  I want to see Young getting solid minutes to see if he is the starting 2 or 3 of the future.  Smart has to keep getting 30+ minutes a game and lets see how they do and hopefully we lose more games where we can end up with one of the top centers in the draft.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

If last night is any indication, he comes off the bench before Young. This is not good for player development.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

New Orleans with Bass for Eric Gordon and their 2017 pick

make the Western playoff contention a total war for the Clippers.

Yep. I don't know why people think he won't affect the playing time of Young. It's almost assured he will under Brad.

For most of the season Stevens has played 10 guys. Starters then a back up at each position. If we deal Thornton, I don't see why Rivers would need to cut into Young's pt.

I like
what is Gordon's contract and are we assuming he'll never be healthy?

Send him to Philly with a #2 (Dallas or Cleveland's) and get a 8.6m TPE, Heck send both him and Wallace to Philly along w/ 3m and Philly's 2016 #2 for 8.6 and 10.1 TPE's   ;D
