2015 first round draft pick to Phoenix
Minnesota's 1st round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 1-12 in 2015 and 1-12 in 2016; if Minnesota has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Phoenix by 2016, then Minnesota will instead convey its 2016 2nd round pick and 2017 2nd round pick to Phoenix [Minnesota-New Orleans-Phoenix, 7/27/2012

Two picks between 31 and 40 probably.

Pick will likely turn into two seconds, a la our Philly pick.

Exactly.

Not anything to get excited over.

It's a trade chip to be used in the future.  We're now up to 14 picks in the next two drafts.  Which is insane.

Great. More NBA fringe players.

What exactly did you anticipate Brandon Wright generating as a return?

Maybe Danny wants to own a D league team.

Sounds like two seconds.  Wish it was a first but not easy to get unless a team is desperate and I guess there wasn't one (aside from Cleveland, and they'd rather get Mozgov).

Still assets.

Oh. I am assuming that there's another TPE created by the deal too?

well by definition at least ONE of the picks will be between 31-42.  So yeah... solid return.

Looks like i'll have a vested interest in rooting for Minny next year... not outrageous for Wiggins to lead them outside of the bottom 12.  That team has so much potential.  Will likely take them another year though

How do we get Jameer Nelson out of the building?

No offense to Jameer, but he couldn't be less in the plans and should finish his career St. Elsewhere. It's hard to even see him in the uniform.

I guess Jae Crowder, the Chowda man can stick around. He seems alright.

Yes, a $5 million one, which will frankly be difficult to use at this point.

Well......I thought he was a poor player for Celtics at this point.

So this return ...for renting Rondo an't bad.

The player picked even in that range ...could be more useful than Wright .

Maybe DA finally has enough picks to use a couple to move Wallace sooner .

If we can't get picks for him he's going to be bought out.  He's not here after the deadline.  Period.

I wonder if it could be used in the ongoing Green to Griz talks somehow.

This forum can be annoying sometimes.

My statement had nothing to do with what I valued Wright. I'm just not getting excited over 2 second round picks.

Respectable return for a free agent bench player.

Here's the pick:

Noooice!!  A couple 2nd rounders for Wright (can't see Minny finishing outside of the bottom 12 next year despite how great Wiggins looks).   The Rondo package is starting to look good.
Too bad they aren't in the east where you can make the playoffs with a bad record (and lose the protection)
