i wonder who will be the main scorer for the celtics if this happens? maybe olly will become assertive and put on his superman cape.

ok, where is greek666 with images of olly with a cape?

Main scorers in order

Sully
Bradley ( he is going to be jacking them up now)
Turner
KO
Smart
Young
good guess, especially about bradley. he will be shooting up a storm.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yeah, only decent thing that Memphis could send us that'd make sense.

I'll guess prince and a 2nd rounder

It would already be done if that was the price.

I'm assuming Ainge values Green more than you.

Agreed. A second rounder is virtually no compensation at all. It would be only for the sake of doing Memphis and Green a favor.

this season is so hard to watch for me, not because of our record, but because of the fire sale we are having. I was a big Rondo supporter, kinda expected a trade but didn't want it to happen, wanted us to add 2 more all-stars next to Rondo, didn't happen

Green disappointed me, but I had such high hopes for him, and all the feel-good stories like the heart surgery, and definitely his improvement since the big 3 left, but still inconsistent...hard to say good bye to those players

Bass will probably be gone soon as well, and him I respect...played his heart out on the big 3's last run against Miami

How much of a cakewalk is the Atlantic this season? Without Green, BOS/NYK/PHI are three of the worst five teams in the league. Nets are meh.

Toronto has to be wetting themselves in excitement.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

wait bradley is going to be jacking them up NOW  ::)  if he wasn't jacking them before i'm worried

not that it matters because the season now has a half empty green glass
but….
why not run pick and roll with turner and zeller until opposing team can stop it?
ko on high post with guys rolling off picks?
pick and pops with sully
anything to make us somewhat watchable

The Celtics and Grizzlies, sources said, have been exchanging trade proposals on Green for some time, with Memphis believed to be offering the $7.7 million expiring contract of Tayshaun Prince and a future first-round pick to Boston in exchange for Green.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Unless Jordan Adams is showing the promise of a future all-star, I would really be pushing for the 2019 pick. Even if we were dealing with another team, I would want a pick a few years from now - we just have too many coming up in the next couple of years.

I think future draft compensation makes more sense than Adams.  I'd rather wait until 2019 for a pick.

I think I agree.

Who knows where MEM will be 4 years from now.

I don't think a 5 month rental of Jeff Green warrants a far into the future first round pick.

Maybe it's heavily protected. Say top 23 protected for a few years then turns into a 2nd round pick if Memphis has higher picks than that.

Frankly, I think Jordan Adams is about as good a prospect as you can expect to get with a late first rounder so I am happy to take him instead of uncertainty of late first rounder.

Read that the Celtics and Jameer are possibly negotiating a buy out earlier today

Reading that the Celtics and Jameer are negotiating a buy out.

no surprise, expect  Bass to be moved and Thorton to be bought out too . Our roster by the deadline

PG: Turner       / Pressey
SG: Smart        / Young
SF: Crowder    / Wallace
PF: Sully          / KO
 C: Zellar         /  ?

We would be in trouble or full blown tankage with that order.  Are you aware that KO and Zeller average more than Turner now?  Bass averages more than Thornton as well.
