if boston gave the 2016 brookline pick to Milwaukee would this trade happen?

why boston
true we lose a great pick but we get an amazing prospect. smar t and antetokunmpo as a backcourt would be amazing simply because of their physicality

why phoenix
they want to make a playoff run and are weak at the sf. they would get a strong starter for a prospect and a bench player.

why milwaukee
with brandon knight becoming a free agent they get a great prospect and a great pick for a good player
zach lavine-jeremy lin-tyus jones
jeremy lamb-tyshen prince-Andre miller
will barton- beljina-
Kevin love-kevin garnet-payne
Karl anthoney Towns-JJ hickson

Brandon Knight is a RESTRICTED free agent and Milwaukee has boatloads of cap space, so unless a rival GM totally loses his mind and inks him to an offer sheet that is a severe overpay, he will be back with the Bucks. No need for insurance.

How can you call the 2016 Brooklyn pick a great pick when you don't even know where it's going to be yet? With the state of the East, the Nets are in a playoff spot right now, and while they are getting older and they are likely to degrade further, it is not outside of the realm of possibility that they can hold onto one of the final playoffs spots for one more season. While, I too, expect them to be in lottery as well, I think we can only call this a "potentially" very good pick.

Now, a great pick would be Giannis Antentekounpo in the 2013 draft. You are going to have to give a lot more than that to get Giannis. He's only starting to scratch the surface of what he can be and will be under Bucks control for several years.

No, the Bucks wouldn't have any interest in this deal IMHO.

There's no chance any of the teams pick up the phone to discuss this trade. I think Ainge would get laughed at for making this offer. Nobody would take him seriously.

Phoenix would have to send Dragic or Bledsoe (most likely Bledose because Dragic could walk in Free agency) to the Bucks. Ainge would have to take on Ilyasova's contract for getting Antetekounmpo. And we'd probably have to send Phoneix another player or pick because Dragic has more value than Green.

I still think Milwaukee would say no. They need to re-sign Knight so they can either keep him or trade him for assets in the future. Knight/Giannis backcourt >>> Knight/Bledsoe or Dragic backcourt because Giannis has more size.
