Timofey Mozgov
Harrison Barnes 3
Ed Davis 4
Isiah Thomas

In order of which I want the most. Sanders just needs a good coach.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

I think the only guy on that list that is both realistic and that I'd be interested in is Thomas.

I've got no interest in Dalembert, Sanders, Frye, Hickson, or Davis.

Monroe is interesting, but it depends what our cap situation looks like since we wouldn't have his Bird rights if we traded for him.

Barnes, Plumlee and Jackson won't be available.

Mozgov is mildly interesting, but I find him to be passable at best; he's nobody I'd give a real asset for.

I think Miles Plumlee is getting close to expendable, given the rise of Alex Len.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I don't want any of them.
Can we trade the TE to another team for a pick?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

TPEs can't be traded.  You either use them to acquire player(s) within the TPE limit or they expire in a year.

I think the Celtics are around $6.7m below the luxury tax line so wouldn't using the TPE on a player with a salary greater than that put them into paying the luxury tax?  I'm sure Ainge and the owners wouldn't want to do that.

With a TPE of just over $13 million, I think the list of players is more than 11 long. Why just these?

Didn't feel like typing down the name of every player that could be had with a TPE.

OK.

Samuel Dalembert
Channing Frye
JJ Hickson
Harrison Barnes
Ed Davis
Isiah Thomas
Reggie Jackson

Why are these guys on the list? Some are too old, some seem like fools gold to me, and some don't seem compatible with Smart in the backcourt. Unless you're suggesting using Smart in a trade?

Why isn't Jackson available? He plays for a team that has always been unwiling to pay the tax, and signing him to an extension would put them mighty close. He has talked about wanting to have a starting role next year, and I think him next to Smart makes for a great back court.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Following Monkhouse's method I'd take...

Samuel Dalembert
Larry Sanders 4
Greg Monroe 2
Channing Frye
JJ Hickson
Timofey Mozgov
Harrison Barnes
Ed Davis
Isiah Thomas 1
Miles Plumlee 5
Reggie Jackson 3

Would Also throw in Kanter if that's an option for the TE.

probably because they are competing for a title and need all the fire power they can have .

I'd contend that if we dealt Green and Wright for Perk and Jackson they would be improving their fire power.
