Zach Lowe was on the BS report, with Simmons, and he had some interesting things to say. I like Lowe and respect his opinion.
* Boston didn't have many suitors for Rondo. The only other legitimate offer was LAL which offered Nash, Houston's # 1, and a #2. Rondo wants a max contract and might not be in the top 15 PG's in the league, so the market just wasn't there for Rondo.
* Rondo wasn't practicing hard, which makes is difficult on Stevens, especially with so many young players, when your best player isn't giving it his all in practice (Simmons said this part).
* Mixed reports on whether Carlisle wanted Rondo or not.
* He is a bit overrated (as a player and as a defender too). He's a weird piece that mucks up your spacing because he can't shoot.
* Mavs fans might think that Rondo is the same player that he was a few years ago, but he hasn't been good this year on either end of the floor. He hasn't been a good defender for 2 or 3 years.
