Canaan and Black look like they can play in the NBA, and Capela is an interesting prospect.

The big issue is the roster crunch.

Agree, seems like we'd need to 2-for-1 trade beforehand or something.

Nelson just needs to be bought out.  Then he can go try to catch on with one of the playoff teams.  There is no reason for Nelson to take up a roster spot and valuable playing minutes for us.

One Capela pls Danny, I'd give up multiple second rounders for him. He's super raw, but has rim protector potential.
i too liked capela before the draft. so far in the dleague he is doing ok, nothing to write home about:

9.8 pts/g
7 rbs/g
2.7 blks/g
48% fg
67% ft

he is 6'11", athletic, but thin. him instead of pressey? as much as i root for pressey as an underdog, capela has a greater chance of becoming a credible nba player.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I think if we can't get any value for Bass, Thornton, or Jameer we will end up working on a buy out. Since that is the case, I'd rather push up the buy out talks so we can pick up Capela
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

How can the Rockets get these players off the salary without absorbing new salaries??

Can we use any TE we currently have to grab any of these players??

Or is the problem lack of a roster spot? So a 3 player for 1 player trade is what they need?

I'm interested in Capela and Canaan.

Marc Stein: Rockets are making the rounds on Christmas Eve, offering up anyone in the bottom third of their roster via trade to make room for Josh Smith. Joey Dorsey, Tarik Black, Isaiah Canaan, Nick Johnson, Clint Capela ... Rockets seeking taker on any of the above to make room for Josh Smith. Twitter @ESPNSteinLine -

Rockets will prob just waive one of Black , Dorsey or Johnson.  They are not going to give up Capela, Canaan on a discount imo

Not on a discount, no. But if you give them a 2nd round pick and use a trade exception they would move one or both of them.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Time to cash in on those assets, Danny.

Clint Capela is an exciting prospect to have.
