if I could only keep 2 players on this roster---it would be Zeller and Olynyk.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Bass is a solid vet.  He has improved on his jump shot, passing and always plays hard on both ends. Driving in and dunking alot more. Loved that dunk in the 4th vs Magic ending with him yelling

If Danny trades Sullinger,  I would resign bass to a 3 year 15 million dollar deal.

They seem to be the best at putting the ball through the hoop....Smart/Young/Green... I would also keep.

One thing I really like about Bass is the consistency of his jumper. Right now his midrange jumper is the most reliable offensive move or shot on the team. With some of the other players you never know what you're going to get each day, but his jumper is there come rain or come shine. It's a shame that he never developed 3 pt. range because he would be a 10-12 million/year player.

Bradley should aim for that level of consistency with his jumper. I don't know what the numbers are but it still seems like sometimes his shot is broken.

I really like Bass. He's a guy who shows up every day, puts the work in, and does his thing. His mid-range jumper is as bankable a shot as there is in the league today. Deadly efficient with the least efficient shot in the game.

That said, it seems that much like Green and Rondo, Bass will be a casualty of circumstance. There's just no room for him on this team with the direction we are going. People need to accept that even in the best case scenario, we're gonna suck for the next couple years. There's no reason to keep a 30 year old Brandon Bass around to take minutes from the young guys when he could be helping a contender. He's been a good Celtic, DA should make sure he gets to a good spot.

Two of the Celtics best young players (Sully, Olynyk) play the same position as Bass.

Bass needs to go.
I really don't see Sully as part of the long-term plan.

Such a strange sentiment. Strikes me as being like a "One player I don't want traded" thread circa 2006, and the player being...Wally Z, lol. No one should get their hearts set on any single player on this roster sticking around for the next C's team that contends. There is no Pierce this time, even. Everyone is expendable, especially veterans. Chances are maybe one or two young players on the roster now will manage to still be here when the Celtics make the next deep playoff run. Last time it was Perkins and Tony Allen. This time around it might be, like, Zeller and James Young. Who knows. Point is, this is a laundry phase, the only thing you know for sure you'll be rooting for on the next great Celtics roster is the jersey. Don't get attached to individual players. Especially league-average expiring veterans.

Brandon Bass is a helluva player and on a contending team would mean a LOT.

If Brandon Bass must be traded, I would like to see him go to a contender like Pierce, KG, and Rondo did.  Dude deserves that much for being the quiet consistent man in green for us.

Teams must build for the future, but sometimes having a piece of the past around to let the new kids know what to expect in that future is helpful also.

Bass has my respect.
