he'd be an immediate upgrade over Wright in Dallas.

??

Wright was the best bench big in the league.  Smith is a head case that can't play.
for detroit to simply eat $27,000,000 dollars like this means that SVG has deemed smith as uncoachable. with a label like that, not as many teams as we might think will want him.

my bet is LAC, whose sf situation seems terrible. there, even smith is an improvement.

EDIT: then again, SAC is desperate for a PF, which suits smith better.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Charlotte would be a good landing spot for Josh Smith. Opportunity to play a lot of minutes and rebuild his value heading into free agency next summer.

so help me god if smith goes to Dallas Wyc and Steve must FIRE DANNY NOW Because that makes certain that he would have gone to boston and possibly got us a title but danny quit on the organization and most importantly he quit on the fans.

Josh Smit free agent

nope. But if we trade green and NOBODY picks up Smith, Danny could afford to give him a tryout

Why on God's green planet would you want Josh Smith on the Celtics? We already have a gut of Pf's on the team. Quite frankly, the guy is a dumb*ss. DET decided they would rather eat $28 million than have this guy along their team.

It sure is a big red flag.  So if he makes it through waivers (100% for sure right?) then is he a true free agent and available to negotiate whatever contract?  Excuse my lack of salary cap know-how.

Ya and if that's the piece that would have kept rondo around smith might have got us points off the bench to spell green or green is the one that becomes our 6th man probably woulda been cheap and the next Oscar Mr. Triple Double Stays in Boston Where he belongs.
