  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Jimmy 'buckets' Butler of the Chicago Bulls.

2014-15 stats:
22 points, 6 rebounds, 3.3 assists shooting 48% from the field and 33% from three.
Jumpshot has improved out of sight and he's almost automatic ala Paul Pierce- his offensive game has come so far.
He has the size to play SF at 6'7" with long arms and an incredibly strong and powerful base that allow him to turn the corner on even the best NBA defenders, draw contact and get to the foul line almost at will.
Lock down defender at the opposite end and will literally play the entire game and grind his opponent down with toughness.

I think Jimmy Butler is getting a max contract offer this offseason.
Would Danny Ainge have him as a target?
Seems like the kinda guy that making a gamble on giving the max before he gets there would be an understandable thing to do- I don't think the Bulls can give him anything near max because of Rose, Gasol, Noah's money.
His season so far has resembled that of a top 3 player on a championship team.

We could throw together a pretty sweet team very quickly with something like:

Smart
Butler
Green
Sully
Hibbert

With a bench of KO, Young, Bradley, Zeller, 2015 rookies.

Some of his latest work:

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm sure Ainge will throw a max at him, or at least the max HE can offer due to CBA rules.

Chicago will match.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

If we don't max him out we're crazy. And if the Bulls don't keep him they're crazy.

The way he's playing right now, it'd be hard to argue against it, especially with no Paul George.  He's been looking like the next-best scorer in the East outside of the Melo/LeBron/Wade trio..  All-around upgrade from Jeff Green in my opinion, better passer, rebounder, and defender.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

His wingspan is actually exactly his height, small forwards tend to have a 6'11 or above wingspan, this is mainly the reason he plays SG. I think he will stay a bull.  I also think he will stay at the SG position where he is best at.
