Poll: Phil Pressey or Jameer Nelson

Everyone is so quick to think that he is gone but the news release states that they're exploring options with the team rather than explicitly saying they are discussing a buyout.

If he plays well and is a good fit for the city would you rather keep Nelson on a modest salary to back up Smart/Turner/Bradley or continue on with Phil Pressey?

I hadn't heard that the C's were talking about long term plans for Nelson.  Do you mind posting a link to where you saw that?

Pressey.  Worse shooting, but he's younger, a better defender, and I like his chemistry with KO

Plus, he ALWAYS pushes the pace, which is nice to see

Pressey and Nelson will get about 10 mins a game each. Depending on how they do in the game, one could take the others min away.   Pressey is younger and a better defender. But Nelson can get hot and not miss a jump shot .  He likes to run around screens , receive passes and shoot the ball. Like Jerryd Bayless.   Nelson is not a pure pg but Pressey is.

CBS will just have to do his best juggling act. 

I don't see Nelson though a part of this teams future and Danny will try to find him another home by the deadline.

Nelson. But one would think there wouldn't be too terribly many minutes for either of them given we already have Smart and Turner ahead of them on the depth chart, though Turner will probably play alot behind Green, too.

Phil. Nelson is a sieve defensively. Yes, Pressey isn't actually Avery Bradley circa 2012, but he's not  an utter embarrassment either.  I don't think either one has a future here, but I prefer Phil because he has great chemistry with KO, plays better D,  pushes the pace, and gives a darn.

Don't forget about his passing.  That's what I like the most about him.  He's not even close to Rondo, but he has made some great ones, and at least he's someone who can run the break, because I don't think that Smart is up to the task yet, quite honestly.  He's made some good passes, but he's probably the 4th best passer on the team, after Turner, KO, and Pressey.

Nelson in the Keyon Dooling, locker room role. I want him to get the same 'talk' from Brad Stevens that Wallace got.
