So much for Marcus Smart getting 35 minutes.
brad basically said in the pregame that they are better with turner. Kinda true.
Agree that they are better with Turner.

I would play Smart 30-33mpg for developmental purposes though.

New Guys = Smart, Jameer, Turner, Crowder, Zeller, Wright
Old Guys  = Bradley, Green, Sully, Olynyk, Bass

News guys vs old guys ... on the floor so far today. No Thornton either.

Goodness, Bradley is the longest serving member of the Boston Celtics now.

Bradley, Green, and Bass are the only guys on the team that played with the full Big 3.  Sully's the only other one that played with any of them.

It is amazing how much the team has changed from last season. Turned over half the roster.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Man, Smart is not shy from 3.

I think he's actually been a tad shy tonight.

The Ok. State Smart would do much more than just taking ill advised 3's. I want to see that aggressive Marcus Smart.

Can Smart beat other guards off the dribble? I haven't seen much of it in the early going of this season.

Nice dunk by wright
I'm not a fan. Unless it's a roll to the rim, he looks clueless. More so on defense.

So is Olynyk only playing 15 mins a game now? What is up with this 12 player roatation?
thats the trouble with having several mediocre redundant players...  They are all interchangeable and all average or less than average.

I desperately want to see Smart driving the ball into the middle of the paint. I think his ability to get into middle of paint is vital to his offensive game.

That bugs me about Stevens. The "everybody must play" "be fair to everyone" stuff.

Pick the guys that are most important to the team and it's future and prioritize them.

Almost looks like Zeller is going to get the shaft with minutes.

I expected a lot more of a dribble drive threat from Smart. Disappointed in that thus far.

Agree 100%, we aren't letting our players get used to any specific rotation or playing with certain players. It's just a constant stream of subbing players in and out and if we lose I think the coach should take complete blame.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Is it Brad though, or is it coming from FO telling Brad to play everybody to gauge their trade value?

Brad Stevens thinks this is funny?

I gotta say out of all my years of watching NBA games, this may be the worse substitution patterns I've seen. There's no purpose behind any of these moves.
