Did anybody notice Dirk wasn't in on those final plays down the line? I thought coaches NEVER bench their best players at the end of close games.

He was frigid tonight and super close to picking up a tech.

Dirk is a baby and is also one of the most protected players in the league.

Exactly. This was really a dig at the ones that were making a HUGE deal about Brad benching Rondo when he didn't have it going. Coaches bench their players all the time.

Mavs will win . Against the Spurs 2nd unit tonight
So far Boston looks better... mavs look worse.  Let's see what both teams look like in a couple months.

mavs looked good tonight.

Celts looked good yesterday.  And we haven't even seen Wright, Crowder, Nelson play

It will turn out to be a good trade for both teams. But come Jan 2nd, we are going to win that game

LarBrd33 the difference is Boston played a terrible team while Dallas played the defending champions..

Come on, man. They played the defending champions' bench, which is much different lol

Is it different? Maybe marginally.

I think the spurs bench played extremely well.  They have a great team, and guys just step up and fill their roles.  I would probably take the spurs bench in a best of 7 against the best Minn can throw out there.

I'd put money on that Spurs unit beating a lot of teams in the NBA.

Dirk looks fried.  Like KG.  Time to retire.

Especially on D.  Chandler, Parsons, and Rondo are going to be dead tired by the end of the year.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic.  Dallas just played the Spurs bench a night after the Spurs played an overtime game...

And Dallas looked worse than they normally do in spite of this.  They average 110 points on 48% shooting... tonight they put up 99 points on 43% shooting despite the arrival of Rondo and the fact they were playing against the Spurs D-Team.

Again... so far Boston looks better and the Mavs look worse.  That could change, of course.

This is Dirk's last year as a starter.   He could take on a role like Robert Horry did though in the past

Parsons is overrated.  Monta and Chandler are the key for this team
