Rondo looked really good tonight. He boarded, assisted, and didn't dominate the ball. Clearly the rebuilding affected him greatly, and he's not a #1/best guy to lead a team. His skill set is maximized with better options around him.
After seeing the difference in Rondo tonight, this split might have been the best thing for both him and us. He's clearly reenergized playing with a better group. For us, the added ball movement and lack of ball domination will lead to a faster pace, more space and movement, and ultimately better basketball for us.
I still would've liked to get a better return for Rondo, though.
