HAHAHAHA the Dallas crowd is going 'WOW' to routine Rondo passes.
How are the reacting to the fact that Spurs defenders don't bother defending Rondo when he doesn't have the ball?

All the Rondo hate (Tanguay's Army) reminds me of all the Lebron hate...  ::)

Both are championship-caliber players, both HOF bound, not to mention every great player would love to play with either of them.  Remember: Great players need to play with great players to be truly great.

Rondo looking a bit nervous in first minutes, to be expected, but had a few great high bball IQ plays.

Rondo is HOF bound?

My bad, FUTURE Hall of Fame inductees... (as long as RR stays healthy for another 5 years or so

No, it was a legitimate question. Has he done enough to be considered that right now?

4 All Stars, 4 All Defensive Teams, 1 All NBA, led the league in Assists (2), led the league in Steals (1).

I'd say he would need a little bit more in that resume'.

Same here. I think he can eventually make it, but he's not a lock right now.

I didn't think Rondo would have the same rebounding numbers in Dallas as he did in Boston, but so far he's proving me wrong.

And you're talking to a guy who wants him to sign back with Boston. Weird.

These guys are going to have to learn that Rondo passes up layups for more low percentage assists, and the Dallas crowd will need TMJ treatment for all the WOWs they are Wowing tonight.

Certainly a question to debate, and maybe too early to tell... He will never make it based on points scored obviously, but when his career is all done someday hopefully many years from now, I think his assists and possibly rebounds and steals will add up to a HOF resume, not to mention all those triple doubles.  I think it would really help his case if playoff stats were counted, as those are the games that really matter, but to be fair that excludes many great players on bad teams.

I think if you asked most coaches and players around the league, though at the end of RR's career, or even now, they would agree he is a HOF caliber player.  I do wish he could take it to the rack relentlessly like he used to his first few years, but I think he is being smart with preserving his body, and is improving in other areas like passing and his mid-range shot.

Rondo has never been a consistent effort guy, and the rebuild just exacerbated it due to him being asked to do too much. He'll probably be better defensively here, because he's asked to do so much less.

And maybe because he just can finally play without worrying about any uncertainties about his future.

I don't get it, I've watched Celtics games this year, I think his play has been the same. A little more active, but the same.

It will be interesting to see who Carlisle has close the game at point guard, if it's a close game. With better shooting/free throw shooting options in Harris and J.J., I bet he primarily closes with Harris in tight games.
