Sometimes a team is just simply a good passing team. This team enjoys sharing the ball.
They play together and play well off of each other. They don't need one single hot shot passer stifling their growth.

Rondo thought it was his job and his job alone to bring this team over the finish line nightly, He wasn't equipped  to do it.

Don't worry, he'll do very well in Dallas. In fact, the Celtics put him in a great situation.

They were fine with Rondo handling the ball.

I was relieved to see Zeller can still play ok without Rondo.   That was one of my biggest fears .

Rondo only helps the Celtics so much . ,  no half court slow pace playoff ball. Where most of the game is half court set up ISO ball. ....this is Rondo game ...set up the ISO player

He is like a high performance part you put on a RACE engine ......he doesn't change an average team much .....but put him in with elite scorers and he is awesome.

10-11 Mavs had more D.  Marion and Stevenson on the perimeter.  Haywood and Mahinmi backing up a younger Chandler.

They're good, but starting 5 defense is questionable.
