KG took the money. He deserves the same as Melo.

How did KG take the money? After the way he played in the 2012 playoffs, he took a major discount at 12 million a year. Of course, now with his downfall it seems like alot, but at the time it was a discount.

I think he's referring to the fact that one of the reasons KG waived his no trade clause had to do with the fact that the Nets would fully guarantee his contract for this season.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

isnt it that even kg had retire this season, he will still get paid for the 12million?
and if you are a nets gm isnt it better to get something for kg whoever is that player, rather than lg kg retire for nothing?
in this case it gives them trade fillers for lopez williams johnson, because they got no picks at all

KG is in similar boat as Humphries last year. They are tough trade because they are earning so much money and they are not worth their paycheck.

Teams will need to combined 2-3 role players together to match salaries and that type of trade will usually hurt the team trying to get KG more than help it due to KG's low value on the court nowadays. The multiple role players > KG.

Not if I were Brooklyn. Webster has two years and $11 million remaining on his contract after this one. Not worth taking on that payroll. Seraphin's deal expires this summer too. Better off hanging onto KG.

I can't imagine him coaching.  When no one matches his intensity, he would flip out.
