Exactly. But i would be ok if he joined rondo and the mavs. Not sure what the mavs can offer the nets

I would love to see KG play out the rest of the year for the Mavs. What a perfect fit. He would no doubt waive his no trade clause to do  it.

The only trade that would work would have to involve both Raymond Felton and Devin Harris, with another min contract such as Ledo. Don't see why the Nets would make the move.

KG took the money. He deserves the same as Melo.

if kg had retire he would still get the money
if i where billy king i'll trade him right away
and as someone posted above...ledo felton etcs; for a 1 year rental, dallas will accept but that's too much to give...if wizards offers seraphin and webster...in a heartbeat deal accepted
kg and nene at 2nd unit would be a killer duo

I don't understand you. What do you mean exactly? He has a big contract, he's on his last legs. Too big of a contract to make a trade, and  he would bring back nothing useful.

Why would a team still pay a player who decides to retire instead of playing?

How did KG take the money? After the way he played in the 2012 playoffs, he took a major discount at 12 million a year. Of course, now with his downfall it seems like alot, but at the time it was a discount.

KG was already credited with being a huge reason why we won Banner 17. He's punched his 1st Ballot HOF ticket, along with PP34 and maybe Ray.

Rondo? As much as I love him, needs DAL. If he can push them over the top, then I think he will get a significant amount of credit for doing so.

I believe that he won't disappoint. He didn't disappoint me here in BOS.

He doesn't deserve anything except the terms of his contract. I can understand questions like this for guys on rookie deals who have no say in where they play or for veterans traded to bad teams they didn't want to go to. Neither describes KG.

If he wanted a Nets-friendly buyout where he leaves a lot of money on the table, they would give him it in a second considering the tax cost of every dollar spent.

Yes, of course he does. He's give his all to the game. Not much we can do about it, though.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

It's like a Kobe type discount. Like you said. If it's a 1 year 12M deal, he's worth it. 3 year per 12M is not worth it, that's why Ainge dropped him. He' s production is long gun. Like guava_wrench wrote he can give up a lot of money with a buyout, if he really wants to hop on a contender. He will of course not. And there is no reason for the nets just to release him.

Absolutely.  No single title winner out there deserves more rings
more than Garnett.

The Celtics big four and Doc were all robbed of more titles by bad luck
with injuries (along with some nastily horrid officiating in game 7
of the series with L.A., a series that was the worst officiated
of any series I've ever seen)
