Other than Sully, the team still does not have a strong low-post defender.

Zeller is still our only bonafide center. Faverani and Powell are gone.

Sully, KO, Wright, Bass are all PFs.  Green should not be playing PF.

Unless Stevens intends to play small ball all the time, the front court rotation still looks like it is missing something big, literally.

I find a few things curious about this post.

1. You said Sully was a strong defender.

2. Everyone already knows we have no bigs that can defend.

3. I'm also left wondering if you're just noticing ? This has been talked about plenty on the board just about every day for the past few seasons.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Jeff Green should be playing PF?  I totally disagree.

One of the great things about getting Wright is that Jeff Green won't be playing PF anymore.

Ok, but when do you actually need a low post defender in today's game? Against the Hornets?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

You must have hit too many rocks wiping out or got bit in the head by a Great White if you think Sully is a good low post defender.  JK.    He is better against C's though than he is PFs in defense pushing being a load helps in pushing.

I think that the tank is on, our roster was a hodge podge mismatch prior and it is really mismatched now.   DA  weon't come out and say we are tanking but we are and our roster will help with that.

I think Wright adds some flexibilty to the front court and can play D in spurts.  He has starter length and athletic ability but that lofty PER was often padded by playing against the second string of other teams.  He will instantly be our most athletic big.

Geez, the sarcastic comments are a bit too much for me. Sorry to bring this up now.

My point is just that the trade does not address a key need in the front court...Wright is yet another power forward.

I did not mean to imply that Sully is a great low post defender, but only that he has some beef and can hold his own in the low post defensively.

Yikes folks.

Brandan Wright is more of a center than a power forward. He is just a skinny undersized center.
