I am wondering if Turner gets the start instead of Pressey?  Turner seems to me to play better when he starts and gets more minutes.  I don't see the same issue with Pressey.

Sully should win this matchup as long as he takes him inside, if he goes into Korver Mode, then his edge gets smalller against Young.
Thad Young can defend Sully better in the post than Sully can defend Thad Young's quickness away from the basket. I think Young should have the advantage at PF.

Good opportunity to see how Dieng measures up against Ty Zeller and Brandan Wright.

Is he a hugely better center? A long term starter? Someone Ainge should target?
Or just a marginally better version of the other two? A borderline starter / bench player?

Couldn't ask for a much easier game than the T'Wolves. Zach LaVine is the worst starting PG in the league. Minny has nobody there to take advantage of Rondo's absence. Banged up team with Ricky Rubio, Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic all out injured.

Boston - even without Rondo - are still better than this battered version of the Timberwolves.

So are the new guys going to be in uniform tonight?  That seems really fast.

we'll see.  it's one thing to have Turner/Pressey as backups.  using them as starters pretty much puts us at the bottom in terms of starting PG in the league.

Celtics rookie guard Marcus Smart tested his injured ankle/Achilles at Thursday's practice and, assuming no setbacks, he could be back in the lineup Friday

Let the Smart era begin!

Zach Lavine is terrible?

He's got ups.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

I think it's the same as saying Smart is in the bottom-five of starting point guards now due mostly to their rookie status. It's not really a knock against them, mainly because it doesn't factor in potential or their rookie status.

Yup. He might become a good player someday but he sure isn't one right now.

Lousy PG skills coupled with highly inefficient scoring = Minny's offense drowning while Rubio out injured.

Yes. Today? Bad player. In the future? Who knows.

Something close to a D-League or NCAA game... Half of each roster is around that level.

That Wolves bench is "amazing"... do they even have NBA players?
Goal for next season: Top 2 seed.
Say goodbye to: Turner, Zeller, Sully.
