- NO
- Smart is like Rondo, he still cant shoot. And we lost Rondo's playmaking.
- Will he even get minutes?

Turning multiple smaller TPEs into one large one.

Isn't this honestly the best part of this deal?

What are the chances we can get a Rondo type player with that TPE? Is it better than resigning him?

- Hell Yes, he's averaging 3 blocks per 36 min
- Did I say I was talking about defense? and at least he can shoot free throws :)
- Defensive specialists do not need playing time, he will come in handy on certain situations (i.e. when we need defensive stops)

There are honestly a number of factors that could make this trade better (flipping Wright for another first, your example of picking up a quality player, our first falling into the late lottery and picking up someone who actually will contribute, etc), but the fact still remains that at its roots, it is a disappointing return for a star-level player.

It's kind of like saying the Gasol for Gasol trade was a fair one - of course in hindsight it was, but at the time it was an all-star big man for the 45th pick in the draft.

- Except he's not playing 36 minutes. Its adjusted. You put him there for 36, it doesnt really mean that that is what he's going to produce. Kosta Koufos is averaging 2.6 blocks per 36, is he a rim protector to?
- Fair point. But its not worth getting a bad return.
- But we have a $10 million guy like that in Gerald Wallace. Why get one more?

Big man rotation is better balanced now

PF - Sully, Olynyk, Bass
 C - Wright, Zeller

Wright at Center?

I'd like to see him bang against Al Jefferson and Al Horford and see how he holds up.

Oh we are  really sitting pretty now
 :D
No center ....

And now no point guard to feed the center.

So.......wait maybe a problem was solved after all ..... :D.......Danny doesn't have to get the Cetlics a real center now......no point guard .....heck who needs a center

We don't need a center now anyways .....we have no point guard either .

Lol

Wright or Zeller as starting center? They are both flawed. You are going to give up something no matter which one you pick to start. Zeller gives you a bit more physical man-to-man defense and rebounding. Wright gives you more shot-blocking and defensive quickness.
