We should have the cap space to add a few max players in the off-season if we can move Wallace, and with the cap rising .

PG: Smart            / Bradley
SG: Butler            /  Young
SF: Green            /
PF:  Sully             /  KO
 C: Hibbert         /  Zellar

Plus top 5 pick , Clips pick , Dallas pick

Tons more picks to come

Hibbert comes to play with old college teammate . Butler wants the max

What do you think ?

We should absolutely throw the max at Butler.

If Hibbert was for sale, I think he'd already be gone by now.

Ahaha.  Yeah, like anyone is going to want to come here now that Rondo is gone.  Come on, dude. ::)

Butler seems like the real deal.  If we could sign him, that could go a long way to making this trade a better deal.  BUT, I don't see any way that Chicago lets him go.

Could happen but as well could not. Who knows but....

Bradley as 2nd PG - that will suck hard. He isnt that good of a passer and with him on the ball the pace the Celtics aim for is completly gone. I would like some great additions but I don't see Bradley handling the ball in a team that aims to go deep in the playoffs.

He is a shooting guard - very good D, decent shot of the pick but you don't want him to handle the ball, neighter will BS - he will always give Turner and Presey that PG spot over Bradley.

My dream is the Hoya troika of Green/Monroe/Hibbert.

Sign Monroe as FA and trade for Hibbert.

Would have to include Smart and Sully or KO and picks for Hibbert.

I think that we are going to tank and draft a center
like okafor or towns so we don't need hibbert.

true , but the point is we could potentially have the ability to add two max free agent, get a top 5 pick and have a bunch of additional picks to come.

No, and you wanna know why? Because Larry does not trade his team's best players. Watch his interview with Simmons, he talks about his disagreement with Ainge on that for about 5 minutes. And even if Hibbert was traded, I am sure he'd look for greener pastures than Boston.

If the Celtics went after Jimmy Butler, I think you'd be more likely to see Smart/Bradley/Butler starting and Jeff Green gone.

Nope ... it's a long slow rebuild ahead. Unfortunately. No quick fixes. Multiple years of top five and top then draft picks. Lots of losses.

I mean, absolutely offer him a max deal but Chicago will match it.

RFAs of Leonard and Butler's quality just do not move. No matter how toxic we make the offer sheet, they will sign. They'll curse us to the heavens for ruining their salary structure, but they will sign.

So Rondo isn't worth a max deal but Jimmy Butler is? ::)  Oh man.

Well, it's all contextual. Rondo wasn't worth the max for us because he would be unlikely to be in his prime by the time we were contenders again.

Also, a max for Rondo and a max for Butler are very different due to their years of experience.

That's not necessarily saying that Butler is a better player right now. Although he may become one.
