Maybe Danny was just clearing potential salary so that he can give Green a max contract.  :P

100% and based on the awful offer DA just accepted for Rondo wouldn't surprise me if he trades him for a bag of regular Lays... not even Salt and Vinegar

Still holding out hope for a Hoya troika of Green/Monroe/Hibbert.

Absolutely.  Bass is probably a goner, too.  Potentially Thornton, as well.

Stephenson, Biyombo, and Charlotte's 2015 1st for Green, Bass, and Clips pick. Do it and this Rondo trade and tankathon might end up being worth it.

Hard to imagine that with Rondo gone, and DA looking more like he is going to continue the fire sale that Jeff wants any part of staying in Boston.  If we didn't want to even try and resign rondo at the 15-18 mil level, hard to imagine that DA is going to want to pay market price for Green.

I would bet his is traded before the deadline, probably before the end of the year to improve the 'tank'.  Uggg.   what a horrible day.

so what can we get for jeff green?

Green is staying a little longer. Danny imo is going to try to resign him first. Or wait to get overpaid.   We will have a huge hole at the sf spot if Green was gone

We unfortunately can't trade Bradley until Jan 15th, so we're going to have a lot more trade rumors over the next couple months as we try to clean up this mess of a roster

Why keep him, though? He only hurts the tank, which is what we're obviously going for now. Plus he has some value around the league, but he'll be too old for us by the time we're ready to compete again.

Green is out. Going to Grizz for Pondexter, a first and Prince. Another .20 on the dollar deal.

Don't think Jeff is going anywhere! He's finally coming into his own, and there aren't many players in the league, at his height, that can do the things he can!  You don't get rid of players like that.
While Rajon also had his unique skill set, there were a good 8-10 point guards in the league most would rate higher, mainly due to his inability to shoot and score.  He is a wizard at passing, but really you shouldn't need 7 rpg from your point guard---so while that was great for his stats and triple doubles, shooting and scoring are way more important.
Zeller, KO, Sully, Wright, and BB give the C's a nice big man rotation!
