I thought of Stockton, but with Hornacek instead. Hornacek wasn't really at his peak then I think though. The ones that came to mind were Magic+Michael Cooper, and Sam Jones + Havlicek. But I'm sure there's at least one obvious one I'm missing.

Kobe played with Payton one season but that doesn't really count since Payton was well off his prime.Did you just say Bob Cousy wasn't a great guard? On a Celtics forum? Haha, is that Cousy's notorious 6 games at 46 season? Or whatever the exact numbers are. If so, nice! I stand corrected.

Last answer best answer.Anyway, Klay and Steph aren't even the best backcourt in Dubs history: Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond take those honors.edit: and had their primes actually overlapped, Wade and Payton would've been something.
ESPN must have forgotten Isaiah Thomas and Joe Dumars.
so, is this the top 5 backcourts all time--Thomas, DumarsWest, GoodrichHardaway, RichmondRondo, AllenCurry, Thompson?
