Wojo - wright, crowder and a number one is being discussed

There will be no trade if that is all that is being talked about.

Wright and Jae Crowder and a 1st round pick (one which will be low)?

*sigh*

Gross.  That only makes any sense at all if Danny never planned on keeping Rondo here.  Given Wright needs to be resigned too I'd almost rather hang on and lose him for nothing.  Yuck.

EDIT: Ah, if that was Dallas' offer that was refused, it makes more sense.  But how does that gap get bridged?

Doing nothing is better than that offer, there's no way DA is doing this I'm sorry... that's just trading him for the sake of trading him

Positively. Not only is it a horrible deal, but it's also a 3 for 1 (when you include enough contracts to balance salaries), so we need to cut 2 players. Awful all around.

Seriously I'd rather keep him and see what shakes out at the end of the year. I know he's already been signed to one but with his up and down play maybe we can sign him to a another hometown discount and we pair him with somebody in the offseason.

I'd rather keep him then get shafted by Dallas that offers hilarious a late first and a bunch of junk.

If Wright was 24 and under contract for 2 more seasons...still a bad offer but at least it makes a tiny bit of sense.  As it is...there's not really any angle to justify it from, unless Rondo has been selling cocaine in the locker room or something.

Dallas' 2015 first-round pick is part of proposed Rondo deal, and there could be further draft considerations as part of a package.

Woj is saying the pick is their 2015 pick. No thanks.

If Wright was under contract for another couple years, it may be different.

He's not though and will need to be resigned. Likely to a deal starting around $8mill+ annually.

I'm just going to hug a pillow and rock back and forth until this is all over because I'm terrified right now...

Is it possible it would be something absurd like two firsts, and two seconds?  I just can't imagine Danny does this without a ton of picks coming back.

There could be more players and picks involved in a larger deal, but those mentioned have been major part of talks, sources said.

Brandan Wright, 2015, and 2017 with minimum protections. That has to be the bare minimum we're willing to play with.

No way there isn't because that deal is flat out garbage end of story.
