Per rumors ,

-lakers have offered nash, 1st and a 2nd round pick

-Mavs wright and 1st.

Im guessing rockets package includes

- capela and 1st

Whoever includes that 2nd 1st wins the race to Rondo?

If Houston's deal includes Capela (a young prospect) and the Pelicans first (a late lottery pick), I don't think it would take much more to make Danny bite.

The other deals are awful - would rather just keep Rondo and see what happens with this team (would rather do that anyway - obviously you disagree). If Lakers included Randle and a 'decent' first, that may change things.

On an off note, I keep seeing that LAL can't trade the Hou pick because they have to make a selection this year - didn't they just make one in Randle last year. Where is their 2016 pick headed that they can't trade it to us - that's the one I want anyway.

I think Orlando has one of them, either 2016 or 2017.

Orlando has it.  Due to the protection on it that means it might not be until 2019, the Lakers can't trade a pick before 2021.  Due to the seven-year rule, the Lakers can't trade a pick after 2020.

I hope we get a '17 pick, at least for symmetry. I feel naked looking ahead and only seeing the one pick in '17.

Seems like there should be an exception in there some where. I get why the Stepien Rule is in place, but leaving a team unable to trade their pick [potentially] for years since it may go to another team doesn't seem like it is in the true spirit of the rule.

On an off-note, we do have the Cleveland and LAC picks to work with to ensure teams have a first, but it would have to be a pretty decent lottery pick if we are also sending out Rondo as part of the deal.

He may stay but he is as good as gone.

Remember what happened with Ray Allen?

Danny will trade him

Triboy is right. There's no way he stays after this whole trade rumor mess. I wouldn't stay after it.

None of the supposed trades for Rondo impress me, and I'd pray that Ainge isn't that crazy to accept just a backup center from DAL and a pick for Rondo.

I say he stays, and Ainge acquires the pieces to build around Rondo and we move on with the development of this team.

+ 1 mid to late 1st rd picks do nothing for our rebuild

Well, we won't really know until this is all over, huh?

Back in 06-07 it was heavily rumored that Pierce would walk or get traded, and we all know how that turned out, right?

Ainge got Pierce the pieces he needed to contend.

Ainge has did it once and he can do it again.

It's not a big deal. Rondo has been dealing with trade rumors for years. I doubt it will play a role in whether or not to resign here, and in any case the team can just offer him a no trade clause if they really want to keep him.

It's not like this hasn't happened before, bro. Triboy is just fantasizing about a life without Rondo. You really should not take anything he says on Rondo seriously because he is one of the most biased posters on the board in that regard.

Nothing I said there is mean, so I don't know what you're talking about. Triboy obviously has a clear bias against Rondo, so why should anyone care what he has to say about Rondo? He's just a broken record anyways.

It's not mean. It's reality.
