He can be a credible rotation player on a contender.

I would take Brandon Bass over Josh Smith and his contract.

He's our most consistent power forward this year on both ends of the court

Yup.  And a class act in the locker room.  He's a pro's pro.

I'd rather have Bass ,, than trade Rondo for some scrub player and a weak nothing pick .

In a minute.

And BTW, there hasn't been a minute in his years here that he hasn't appeared to have given his best on and off the court. One of the many guys in the NBA from very modest circumstances for whom it's nice to see him make good.

he'd be great coming off the bench for a contender.

Underrated player.  Consistent.  Uncomplaining.  Durable.   Would be a good addition to a contender, but I am glad he is a Celtic.  VAST improvement over his predecessor (bbd).

who gives Bass flak on this board.  I mean unless you consider putting him in trade proposals flak, which I don't because Bass has a decent sized expiring contract and is good enough to help a contender off the bench.
