...ha at least I can't see why they would lol.

No picks involved. Thus no picks change teams.

Houston upgrades the PG.
Boston gets assets.
Sacramento gets the PG they've coveted for the last few years.

The Kings definitely say no.  Rockets give up nothing and get a really serviceable PG in return.  Danny would take this deal.

The Kings would have to fill something like 80 minutes per game with Wallace, Powell, and Nick Johnson.  Yikes!

Yeah, that's a really bad deal for the Kings.

I think you would have to take out Powell and put in Sullinger and then maybe Sac does it.

I think this is a pretty good idea in terms of value out and value in - but you need another team involved. Our team would be

Smart - PG
Pressey - PG
Bradley - SG
Young - SG
Thornton - SG
Stauskas - SG
McLemore - SG
Green - SF/PF
Sullinger - PF
Bass - PF
Derrick Williams - PF
Reggie Evans - PF
Olynyk - C
Zeller - C

We would have 8 guards, 5 power forwards, and two centers. A strange team indeed.

Ainge would not trade rondo for less imo. Sac wants rondo badly, so I think their owner would give it a thumbs up. However lets say to get a deal done we swap green for wallace and sac adds a pick with protective stipulations on how/when it can be given to us.

As for the roster. Who cares? It's not a team. Thats the point. It's a roster of assets, of pieces, built to lose. The season would be a tank season where we develop prospects and hope for the highest lotto pick possible to get another - wait for it - valuable asset.

I think some of those guys could play multiple positions anyways. Mclemore and young the wings, stauskas smart and bradley the guards, Williams and green the forwards, Turner the guards & SF, etc.

I'd say this is a nice return for rondo amidst the season he is having shooting wise. A smart-Mclemore backcourt t could have the potential to be awsome with stauskas off the bench and Wallace gone I'd say this is the perfect tank trade for Boston, definatly works for Houston as well.

I like mcclemore but unless we get rid of bradley, there's no need for him, unless we're planning on making James young a SF.

Pretty decent lineup of

Smart
Mcclemore
Young
Towns
Caulie Stein

For the future  ;D

We got took.

Sorry to break it to you, but Boston does in fact say "no."
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Yup.  The fact that Sac is giving up more than they usually do in Celticsblog Rondo proposals, that still doesn't make this a bad deal for Sac, despite what others in this thread might have you believe.

The SAC guys in this deal literally log 105 minutes per game this year.  You guys put a lot of faith in Vitor Faverani.

Maybe it's me but Sacarmento says no

The most realistic return you could get probably get from them right now is Stauskas, Williams and a pick.
