Boston Receives:Stevenson, MKG
Boston Sends:Bass, AB

Charlotte Receives: Bass, AB
Charlotte Sends:Stevenson, MKG

Why C's:
Possible young Jeff Green replacement, MKG is going to be a legit stud (ONLY 21)
Helps solve our PF problem by unloading Bass
Stevenson is a grit and grind kinda player the C's could use well, has legit size too 6'5"

Starting: Rondo, Stevenson, Green, Sully, Zeller
Bench: Smart, Turner/Thornton, MKG, Olynyk, Faverani
Reserves: Young, Powell, Pressey

Why Hornets:
Gets rid of Stevenson, just not a good fit for them
Gives them a solid PF and a vet to help this young team

Maybe we include a pick or something?

The salaries match up VERY VERY well but trade can't happen until after Jan. 15 per AB

What do you guys think?

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'd do it 100%.
Your problem here is that they aren't getting enough in return for losing MKG as well.
You'll have to include the Clippers pick at the very least or send them
Green+Avery+Bass+ Philly picks.

I'd attempt to get away with
Turner+
Bass+
Philly picks.

If we had a taker for Bradley, it's time to unload him.
Stephenson is available at the ultimate buy low price.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I think they see MKG as the future of that team.  Don't think you're snatching him up for role players.

There was a time when Jeff Green + picks for MKG seemed plausible (only because of the incompetence of the Hornets and their desperate need for scoring), but I think that time is soon passing.

The only guys we should be looking into on Charlotte, imo, are PJ Hairston, and possibly Noah Vonleh.  I have no idea how we could get either one of them, but perhaps we could help facilitate a 3 team trade or something to help Lance get back to Indiana.

I cringe at the idea of this clown Stevenson in green.

Stevenson - the player is a good prospect. However with Smart we have everything he can provide and more.

Stevenson - the locker room virus and based on no real achievements "Born ready" stuff - I absolutely do not want this guy in green.

This is Lance in a nutshell - capable player, absolute ****. Perfect fit for the Lakers.

Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

  • About five seconds after 17 O'clock!!
If you were Charlotte's GM would you even consider this for more than 10 seconds?

Only to decide which derisory laugh to use. We need to give up a bit more than that to get Kidd-Gilchrist. Stevenson I would probably drive to the airport personally.

TP for the clip - that was hilarious ;D.  It was a great move, and no, he didn't have to make it look like he was taking a dump on Courtney Lee, ahaha, but at least it only lasted a second or two.  Antoine's wiggle was way worse, imo, especially because it lasted longer and he did it more often.  I don't think Stephenson made a similar celebratory move on the court after this happened, btw, as opposed to Toine.  Just, put it away, man, lol ;D.

Once the January deadline passes I think AB + filler for Lance may be a surprisingly realistic option. I might take that gamble.

Charlotte isn't letting us touch MKG.

Great words from a great man

MKG cant shoot. Its too bad because he is decent at most everything else. But if he has not let learned how to shoot then id say no.

I personally think THE CLIPS PICK is worth more than ppl think. They are 6th in the west right now and they're a few teams right behind them, including the Thunder, THAT COULD PUSH THEM INTO THE LOTTERY......HOPEFULLY.

Huh? He's a role player.

Not saying they're going to dump him or use him as filler, but I think you're reaching here...

Good framework. I think they would replace Bradley with Green and Bass with Thornton to improve their shooting. I would also add in Philly's 2nd this year to make it more fair

They get better this year with the shooting they need, get out from under Stevenson's contract without giving up a first, get a pick for the future.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I think this is actually a pretty good deal. Bass is a nice backup to Al Jefferson, and I bet Bradley could co-exist with Kemba Walker. I don't think MKG is that great - he can't shoot! He's a D and ? guy.

But I don't want to watch Stephenson mock opponents for our team. He plays a style of basketball that I think is often disrespectful.
