if Indiana is still way out of contention at the deadline, we could trade them Rondo and Green (with Pressey and Powell) and it won't be enough to make a difference in the standings. We could get another lottery pick. At the same time, we would be in full on tank mode and our lottery odds would get better.

They give us Scola, Mahinmi, George Hill, and maybe CJ Watson - four role players. The main thing is we get two shots at being at the top of the draft.

The payoff for them is their starting 5 next year with Paul George at SG and Jeff Green at SF would be sick. Rondo would get more out of Hibbert and West.

? Green and Rondo are FAs so there is no payoff for Indy...

They would just be setting themselves up to over pay Rondo and Green the later of which plays the same position as their franchise player.

Green is a 3/4 and George is a 2/3. They can coexist.

Green has another year.

Get Rondo to agree to an extension before trade
