This way he can have breakfast with Kobe on a daily basis.  Joking aside, i think Rondo will think about signing with the Lakers (Kobe will recruit him for next season) and in the end it might be better Danny trades him there (instead of Rondo signing on his own and potentially getting booed if he cameback).

This trade idea for Rondo is not my 1st choice, but if there are no better offers and Danny's plan was to trade Rondo all along.

To Lakers: Rondo, Bass, Wallace
To Celtics:   2 1st picks, Ed Davis, Jordan Clarkson,Steve Nash, Jeremy Lin (waive or trade)

Celtics lineup

Zeller/Davis
Sullinger/KO/Powell
Green/Young
AB/Smart/Thornton
Turner/Pressey/Clarkson

Yawn.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

I would do that deal.  Decent benefits for the C's....picks, shot-blocking center, and a big expiring contract.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

How is Julius randle not in this trade proposal.  I'd still say no if he was but, Randell is there only attractive piece.

Terrible deal. Lakers can't give us two firsts.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Dont have a good feeling about the injury he sustained. He needs the springs to overcome his lack of great length. He also is not known to be a shooter.

You can add also the celts were not too thrilled about him rejecting the 2nd workout prior to the draft

Getting Jordan Hill is also an option.  But the lakers then wouldnt have a center . They would bring in Rondo for the purpose of trying to compete for a playoff berth

I really like Ed Davis. He would help out with the shot blocking issues we are having. Underrated talent , still young.  Lakers dont have much to give up but for them to take wallace's contract really helps our chances to try to sign some FA in the offseason

You know whats the worst thing we can do? Potentially losing rondo for nothing.

Lakers offer sux. Rondo is worth more. Yet we cant get a better offer from anywhere else.

Its like a specialized machine that is worth little in the outside market

If we cant get a better offer and the trade deadline is over soon,  you take the lakers offer. You cant build around rondo

No.

You resign Rondo and use him to try and attract other good players to the team through FA and trades.

Ed Davis is a FA with no bird rights worth noting, nor can the Lakers give up very useful picks due to prior trades.

They don't have any attractive assets to send other than Randle.

Boston and the Lakers each give the 76ers a second rounder and the Lakers give Boston their earliest first rounder.

With all these draft picks and ppl wanting more, we going to be Philadelphia 76'ers 2.0!!!!!!!!!  I want proven players, not prospects
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Rondo isn't a perfect player . .. his is flawed . .. .but he's the best we've got and we're rolling along with him.

He'll get his $$, even if Danny has to over pay. Danny knows losing Rondo (our only multi all star) is a big no no.

Rondo's gonna stay here. He won't get the $$$ and the quality of situation someplace else. Celts are rebuilding well. He's no dummy.

Rondo has to realize ...his less than stellar play .....isn't earning him max money anywhere else either.

I don't see anybody giving him max .

His free throw shooting is as bad a Dwight Howard ...maybe worse.

More likely DA will pay more than any other club .......just because  :-X
