Anyone else done with this Olynyk experiment?

That's frequently the case. It's one of the bigger mysteries because he's been pretty bad for significant stretches this season.

Loved Tommy's commentary. Seems at the end of the day we were being toyed with. Oh well.

came to the games late. another typical celtics game. 3 quarters of keeping even with a team. come the 4th quarter the other team finally decides to play hard, exploit matchups, and put out defensive effort.

the end result is another trip to the 4th quarter woodshed for the celtics.

Well, I guess that settles it.

Of course not, but how much was KO even on the floor for this 4th quarter meltdown?  KO has become the whipping boy but he's really not the problem.

Did you see KO on the floor when the Celtics imploded in the fourth?

So why are Thornton and Turner not hitting shots with Rondo?
perhaps because he makes others worse?

This might sound sarcastic but I was actually encouraged when Young put it on the floor and then dished it to Powell on the other side. Maybe just a glimpse of him being more than a 1-dimensional jump shooter in the halfcourt.

Honestly, I don't think we played them that evenly. They seemed to sleep walk through the first half and picked up their intensity after halftime.

The combination you speak of isn't really a lineup that's on the court much.

Did you not watch the game? He played during that stretch. He came in when it was still close and then came out after several clumsy fouls and fumbling the ball. I think he came out after it was 15 point game.

i dont see how a single celtic is to blame for the repeated 4th quarter woes. it takes a collective effort to suck this much, and that is what happens time after time.

the celtics simply are an over all bad team that cannot keep up with opponents when opponents play hard and well in the 4th quarter.

this isnt about rondo not doing this or that. or thornton making or not making shots. or turner, or sully, or olly, or green, or bradley. thus far this season, each of the celtics have failed somehow in the fourth quarter, but none of them should have to be single handedly responsible for "saving" this team in close games.

collectively this team is a poor team on a number of levels. singling out this or that player does no one any good or gains us any meaningful insights.
