Leonard is a key part of the Spurs championship team. You don't trade that away. And just like you say Monroe would be great in the Spurs system, I would be leery to see Kawhi play out of that system. And trading Rondo and Green for him is giving up a lot for a guy who can't be a number one option.

And the spurs and going to get Gasol anyway. Haha.

Who do you want for Green and Rondo then?  Durant?

Leonard would be one heck of a return
actually, no, it's not. 

just curious, what's the purpose of this deal? 
a) make the team much worse to increase their odds in the lottery (which seems to be what you'd like)
or
b) shipping out Rondo just because you can't stand him and want him gone just for the sake of getting rid of him
or
c) both a and b.

Rondo is overrated.
