I really like the way the Cs are handling his development. Allowing him to practice with the Cs then play big minutes for the red claws seems like a best of both worlds scenario. The current depth at wing makes it tough for him to get minutes and if he does it will be at the expense of Thornton or Turners value. I expect him to contribute next season as the backup 2/3.

A lot depends on Green and his contract as well.  Young could be thrown into the fire early next season if Green is gone.  Could get interesting.

actually, melo had a lot of physical talent. it was a near total lack of BBIQ and focus that did him in.

I think it will probably take at least the entire season for him to improve on defense, but he does have the physical tools to one day defend at a high level.
