How about taking a shot at Meyers Leonard for our Center ?

He plays behind two vet bigs . Only averaging 10 mpg this year ( only played in 6 games) , 9 mpg last year ( 40 games) . His rookie year he actually got his most playing time playing 17 mpg in 69 games.

I really like his upside coming out on college as a 7'1 extremely athletic big man . I envisioned him becoming what Stephen Adams has become for OKC . Why doesn't he play ? is he just bad ?

Anyways I would take a shot at him , his contract is expiring next year and we could probably get him for relatively cheap . Portland could use Bass off the bench. Maybe Bass and a 2nd rd pick for him ?

He is a bad player and he isn't working on the things he needs to work on to improve. Is trying to become a stretch 4. He doesn't think he is a center. Doesn't like physical play. Wants to shoot long jump-shots. Not play interior defense. Or post up on offense.

Unfortunately, he does not look like he'll ever get his career on the right track and fulfill the talent that he clearly has. Bad mentality.
