I say we steal one in Atl, if not then the Lakers. I say they finish out the year 6-12 with an overall record of 10-19 going into the new year.  Ugh this is going to be another long year :-\

We get murdered by teams with big offensive player up front.......and then playing smaller squads with great guards ...we don't guard the paint ...no rim protection..

Team us just built awful

We have a nice collection of mediocre players.

And every player we have has major flaws.

Rondo can't shoot.
Jeff Green is possibly the worst closeout defender.
Sullinger is a turtle when he cuts off the lane on D
Bradley has tunnel vision.
Turner tries to do too much and makes dumb plays.
Olynyk goes through awkward stretches of getting lost on defense.
Thornton only knows how to run plays that end with him shooting.
Pressey and Smart both can't shoot.
Zeller can be clunky with the ball.

How's that for your doom and gloom thread.  :o

The Bulls are not playing well, Detroit and the Knicks stink, winning at Orlando and at Charlotte isn't impossible, Wade might not be back for Miami and Sacramento isn't quite a powerhouse yet.  So 10-19 could be 17-12.  More likely 13-16.

How about the coach...?

Coached a mid major to the NCAA finals twice, I think he knows what he is doing.   He does it for a living, do you coach for a living eugen?

in response to the first part of the thread title, i think the celtics' next win is LA. for the second part, i will be optimistic, or drunk, and say 11-18.

thank god this season i decided to not care about w-l and instead focus on kiddie development.

tonight, powell with a per 36 scoring average of 28.8 points!!!!! HOF here he comes!!!
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I assume the C's are going to win every game at tipoff time, so I'll come down somewhere between 'all of them' and 'none of them'

I'd say Rick Pitino was a far mor accomplished college coach than Stevens.  How did he do the last time he tried to coach in the NBA.

This team isn't struggling in spite of Stevens.

Next win comes against Chicago. We've won once against them already without DRose, and it doesn't look like him or Gibson will be back by then. Pau might still be out then, too.

I'm quite a bit more optimistic, and I say 14-15 is our record at the new year.

I am getting really frustrated with our D, it sucks so so so so much, it's painful to watch after experiencing years of Garnett type D. But I'm always optimistic, I don't like to criticize our players, simply because they are our players, they play for our boston celtics.
Players are gonna enjoy those 4 days off, prepare and eat the bulls next time we face them. We finish 2014 with a 14-15 record, at the 7 spot in the East. Mark my words, we even enjoy a 5 game winning streak starting against the Hornets and going through the Wolves. Let's be more supportive, optimistic, things are gonna be better for us, so far our schedule was very very tough, we faced some very good teams, teams that are ready to compete now, and we are in a proccess of rebuilding, learning and developing, let's chill out and hope for the best.

ha! that's why I've been saying for yr's. I don't understand Ainge's fascination with small/undersized players? or anyone's fascination with undersized players for that matter...

in the NBA height beats out small most of the time. this isn't basketball of yr's ago.
