As the standings sit, A perfect draft right now would be:

#5 Willie Cauley-Stein
#22 Caris LeVert
#33 Jake Layman
#37 Guillermo Hernangomez or Mouhammadou Jaiteh (draft & stash)
#52 Luka Mitrovic (draft & stash)

If the C's have the chance to choose between Russell or Johnson who are you taking?  I like Johnson but a Russell / Smart backcourt is pretty fun to think about....

While they are totally different players I would put them at the same tier as prospects. I think both will be high end starters with all-star potential. They both can play multiple positions Russell the 1/2 and Johnson the 3/4. I actually think that decision comes down to DAs view of Young. If he think Young is a future starting SF then you go russell. If he thinks young is a SG or a non starter then you go Johnson. DA has commented that he thinks Young is a SF so I think he goes with Russell giving the Cs potentially two elite shooters on the wing.

Russell put up 33-7-6 last night in a win vs. Northwestern.

I'm telling you guys, he is the perfect player to put next to Smart. That way we wouldn't have to solely rely on Smart to run the offense. Plus he's a great shooter.

If the Celtics pick around 5-7, I think they come away with a nice perimeter player: Russell, Hezonja, Oubre, Johnson. There is a lot to like about all of those players.

As chad ford has said this draft is hard to order between 5-12. There are a lot of nice players in that range.

I am not that high on Cauley-Stein as a top 6 pick. I think he'll be an excellent backup center, but might struggle against starters in the NBA.

I want Mudiay but dont mind settling for D angelo Russell. He's such a good offensive player. Great shooter, great passer, and has a fantastic handle and really good at rocking his defender off balance. I see him as a Goran Dragic or a bigger Kyrie Irving and i even see some Ginobli.

I really like Towns potential, but he's risky as heck.

Robert Upshaw, shot blocker from Utah dismissed from the program for multiple failed drug tests.

Larry Sanders, Pt. II
It's nice seeing him get exposed as overrated after having argued with fellow fans for years that he was overrated.. but I don't hate him. I'm looking forward to seeing him [...] bounce around to a couple more teams... eventually come back to Boston[...] and helps us as a role player until he runs himself out of the league.

I'm definitely rooting for Russell in this draft. He seems like a good fit with the rest of our backcourt, and I think he might end up being the BPA in the draft. I am not a fan of drafting for need, especially with a high pick.

Good news for me.  And i'm also hoping a James Young like incident and he has a minor injury so he can't go to the combine nor workout for teams.

Towns is going to be good.

Russell is a risky choice.  Will either become the next Brandon Roy or next Evan Turner.   I mean ET is a decent player but not a star that can carry your teams to win on a consistent basis.

Russell is not a great shot creator and has avg athleticism/quickness per nba standards

The crazy thing is, you can actually do worse than Evan Turner.  Depending on how you feel about these guys...

I actually like Turner better than 4 or 5 of these guys.  If Turner is your worst case scenario, you have a case for drafting him.

Sam Dekker is a very intriguing prospect with the Clippers pick. Great size for the SF spot and a very good athlete.
