My top ten as of 12/29 with some comps
1. Okafor, a bigger Big Al with better overall court awaness
2. Town, I like NERF DPOYs comp to Sheed. That could be his ceiling. Has a great all around skill set.
3. Mudiay, only saw him in allstar games. Based on China stats looks like real deal
4. Porzinggis, obviously haven't seen him but my gut based on write ups and you tube is he special. Not many 19yr olds put up his stat line in the ACB. A shot blocking stretch 4. This makes him a rare commodity.
5. S Johnson, Artest's body but more of an offensive player less of a defender. I'm not sure his 3pt shooting carries over to NBA if it does he could be PP light
6. WCS, he is cut from the same mold as L Sanders and T Chandler. He may never average more then 10 pts a game but will help a team win with his D and mobility.
7. Winslow, I like him but would be sure he ever becomes an allstar. Seems to be well rounded but not great at anything. Add that to average wing size. Could see a Byron Russell like long career
8. Harrell, He reminds me of Milsap. He isn't as well rounded a defender but seems more athletic and with better defensive instincts. His body and energy will make him an instant contributor in the NBA.
9. Hezonja, scouts seem to love him. I know nothing about him
10A. Oubre, alot of hype that he may now being getting the playing time to live up to.
10B. Looney, Interesting player. He has great length and motor. As a PF he is too skinny and will struggle. If he can play the 3 (he has been quoted saying he can) he has some real potential. His outside shot will make a world of difference. As a PF my comp would be A Randolph as a SF he could be an upgrade T Prince.
Outside of this top ten I really like
Jakob Poeltl C Utah, he has been talked about in this thread Raw but great potential. Has size and athletism to be a starting NBA center.
Hollis-Jefferson SF Arizona, One of my favortite players in college Bball. He is a 6'7 Tony Allen. Elite athlete with great size for SF. Offense is a work in progress and he can be out of control but he will be a great defender. I dont see alot of differences between he and Kidd-Gilvrest.
Dekker SF wisc, not having the year I expected from him but has great size and well rounded SF skill set. He might be a kid who thrives outside of his strict college system.
D Johnson C UK, really big kid with a frame that looks like it could carry more weight. He will be a project but could develop into a player who demands a double team on the block.
