Ainge probably wants him.

Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins and the Doobies are waiting in the wings to start singing.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

When he started ball pounding, I knew they were going to blow it. But when he got fouled at a crucial time in the 4th quarter of the game...oh no, its a re-run.

Rondo doesn't like team ball movement. He enjoys searching out the open man...as long as he's the guy doing all the searching.

Stevens must feel like he's coaching in handcuffs!

Time to sell.

Rondo's resident PR guy/defense attorney is going to flip when he reads these posts.

In his defense a lot of the criticism is so easily debunked and so frivolous that, if it's genuine, there's no choise but to fret for the mental acuity of those making the points.

In the defense of the accusers, his importunate protection of any criticism involving Rondo, is fallacious despite, or perhaps as a direct result of, it's excessive persistence.

Touché, we both used a verbose sentence!

DA held onto Rondo too long, his value will never restore to its orginal form, honestly ask yourself? What GM in the league would give up anything for a guy who is completely useless the last five minutes of a game? And wants to be paid like a max player.

So you would have traded Rondo in 2013 when we still had PP and KG ?

The whole team is bad in the 4th quarter only scoring 11 points. What was up with sully missing both free throws towards the end and shooting 9/19… not great.

Yeah, Sully didn't look good at the end there, but his 9-19 included 4-9 from the 3 and 5-10 for 2 pointers--not really bad at all.

Yeah, he's definitely in a bind: Rondo loses value when he melts down ath the end of games, but he'd also lose value if Stevens didn't play him at the end of games.

The answer would be to play him, but not particularly go to him, late. The issue may be getting Rondo to cooperate on that front.

I would have moved him at the draft last year, would have taken anything ( picks, expring, etc..) It's too late now, a contending team is NOT giving up anything for a guy that literally can't hit a free throw or jumper in crunch time....31% is so pathetic....

Rondo is the best player in this team. By far.
Blaming him for the current mess is simply unfair.

You can't win with a point guard who can't shoot, especially can't shoot free throws.  That's indisputable.  Right now he's 9 for 26 for the year.  He can't be left on the floor at the end of games--the C's will need Banks or Pressey at PG, so how valuable can Rondo be?

He's also a ball pounder at crunch time.

The C's should trade him for whatever they can get and also rid themselves of a clubhouse problem.
