I thought Rondo were clutch when he made numerous clutch plays in playoffs while the KG and Paul were around. However, since he came back from the ACL injury last season, he has been really unimpressive in crunch time. The only good one I remember was in a game against the Heat last season, where Rondo hit 2 consecutive teardrops to clinch the win. Now I'm not sure if Rondo will get a maximum contract if he becomes an FA next summer.

He is not a crunch time player.

He can be a big game player. He has had those games.

But I do not want him shooting last shots.

I remember in 2009 , he was having a great game, Ray Allen had 52 points or something vs the Bulls in the playoffs...

The last shot Rondo wanted bad and it was a horrible possession.

It is just to tough  for Rondo to take last shots. Its not his game.

Even Rondo for last possessions where he has to run the play is bad. I do not know what it is but lots of times I don't even think he should be in the game with under 20 seconds needing a bucket.

He shouldn't play in the 4th quarter. At least less than 5 minutes in the game.

He is a liability on the defensive end and on the offensive end he just brings up the ball, passes and stands around while the guy who is guarding him can help defend the other players.

Rondo is highly overrated.

Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen made Rondo's reputation.

Rondo missed 3 of 3 free throw in the end. Ugly moment clearly tells he is not a player than can change or decide the game...Can you imagine Lebron or Carmelo to lose 3 of 3 three throws??? Rondo is overrated player. Now, Cs without PP and KG, we see how "big" is Rondo...

Seems to lack confidence in his scoring.   One of the reasons I hope we don't give him a big contract.

Need to use that cap space on elite scoring and interior D,  not elite playmaking.

Never been his strength.  I thought we should have went through JG.  RR totally choked on the FTAs.

We made a big mistake letting AB and Sully handle that ball on the one play where the ball was stolen.  The cross court pass by AB hurt us just as bad if not worse than Rondo.

So did our post D, in fact, Zeller played extended minutes because at various times KO nor Sully could run or D up their lineups.   Zeller looked good for the most part.   Zeller  matched up best in a run and gun game.

We were in it right to the last 30 seconds which is an improvement.

Agree with OP

Rondo is ..starless ......no go to guy ......no KG , no Allen ,or Pierce

Rondo is not ..an end of the game clutch shooter.......he makes passes

Passes and plays to get ELITE players a great look at the bucket

We are devoid of TALENT on the level that Rondo can use to set up a win.

We have no GREAT player anymore ..

It's lottery time.

I'm a big Rondo fan. I don't know whether its intentional on his part or what. He CANNOT or WILL not stay in front of his man anymore. Maybe he just lost too much after the acl tear. But we have two supposedly above average Defensive guards on the floor and opposing teams penetrate at will.

He looks like he's sleeping through some late defensive possessions. I seriously can't deal.

I think you irrational Rondo haters live for these moments.

No, I don't want him shooting the last shot...

Yes, his defense looked spotty tonight...

Yes, his free throw shooting tonight was inexcusable...

However, to suggest we should trade him after tonight and that only playing with hall of famers is what made him great is bullEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. and absolutely stupid. He wouldn't be leading the league in assists and threatening a triple double every night if his teammates were the only ones making him look good. Good Lord, you guys are ridiculous.

Exactly I mean weren't you all the same people who said he only got his assists and triple doubles because of HOFers? Now you are wanting him to be Kevin Durant at the end of games. ???

I don't get it. This is getting comical now  ;D

Whatever it is, its a problem.  He has the quickness and looks stronger. But the effort level is sad
