Is clear now that this coach cannot manage a team at NBA level. Talking about professional level. Who might be a good coach to replace Stevens? We should select a godd and experienced coach. No more kid-experiments please...

I looked up some possibilities but it turns out they've all blown 15 point leads so...

You're right, now our realistic hopes of winning 50 games are dashed because of Stevens!

Stevens is fine.  Roster is weak.  HE's getting the most out of them.  We aren't going to be a serious team until we get a post defender.  Until then, this whacky lineup featuring Olynyk at center is at least entertaining to watch from a scoring perspective.  This is the best offense (and worse defense) I've seen out of this team in like 20 years.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I remember the 'Fire Doc' threads. these are similar. You can't blame a cook if he can't turn a plate of garbage into a 4-star experience. Well you can blame him, but it's misguided, and whoever you get to replace him will have the same problems. That makes you a bad businessman, not a decisive one.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

Stevens has the team playing too well to have a good shot at Towns/Okafor, so maybe this guy...

Stevens is doing what good coaches do -- creating a product whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This team looks like it will be more competitive than it has any business being. If you've seen tape of his practices it's hard not to come away thinking he's a gifted motivator and teacher.

I look forward to seeing your threads after each bad loss. Allows for a show of consensus opinion (OP excepted) rarely seen at cblog.  Brings us closer. Thanks.

Gronk looked pretty natural sitting next to the coach last night, at least you know they would play in the paint more and have the best post dunk celebrations.

Exactly this... I was hoping our team would beat Lebron (and the refs) but up 17 at the 3rd I had a feeling we'd blow it. My cousin is a huge Dubs fan, I remember a few years ago when the Dubs had Ellis their roster is basically what we have now, and he even told me "the Dubs are fun to watch... all offense, no defense." Remember the Dubs 3 years ago? Blew leads but held their own. They were also a lottery team. I know how it feels now. No use hoping for wins, but real fun to watch.

That teams identity began to change with good drafting (Curry developing) and the acquisition of a real center (Bogut). We're a few pieces away from a real playoff team. But at least they don't suck and the young guys are stepping up. Really impressed with KO on the offensive end, Sully is getting it together and showing some improvement, and when Smart's back it'll be even be more fun
