So I'm watching the clips now that they're televised in the San Diego region, & I gotta say they just look terribly unorganized.   No offensive fluidity, telegraphed passing...just really surprised at what is transpiring in LA.

So how do they right the ship?
Seems like all the talent in the world on that roster...

Team was always overrated. But now they have Mike Woodson doing offensive sets. But yeah don't really see how Doc is doing a much better job than Del Negro.

Rivers barely won one championship with three Hall of Famers on his team.

Doc Rivers will get it together.

Once the Clips lose in the playoffs to either OKC, Spurs or my darkhorse team DAL, it will not be Doc's fault, though.

Eventually ,  CP3 will land on Lakers, as they dump,Kobe and take on three or four new superstars...once he see Doc isn't getting it done.   He is no closer to a ring.

I don't look for clippers to win the title this year .

They need to get more defense on the perimeter. Particularly on the wings. Regularly overwhelmed physically and athletically by opposing players at SG and SF positions.

They need a defensive orientated backup center for D.Jordan so that there interior defense won't fall apart whenever he goes to the bench. Spencer Hawes - an offensive orientated backup center - was the wrong type of backup center to acquire.

Yup. Doc the GM has so far only been able to acquire players that fit his preferred schemes offensively

Doc's never been one to crack the whip with veterans, unlike Pop.

Golden State seems to play the Clippers well, too, though if Bogut/Lee don't last the season their chances would be limited.

Agree with folks that say the defensive personnel really aren't there, and their one defensive specialist on the wing (Barnes) is playing really poorly thus far.

As far as last night's game, it was pretty obvious.  DeAndre played 37 minutes with 5 blocks and 13 boards but just 6 points.  That puts an enormous amount of pressure on either Paul and Griffin to monster nights or Crawford and Riddick to get about 40 between them.

I agree just looking at this roster quick it is clearly built with offense in mind. I would have to guess that Doc figures he can coach team D and make it work. I dont think this is the case.

Looking at the roster I see three players who I would consider above average for there given position on D, Paul, Barnes and Jordan. With Paul being a slight misinterpretation because his size limits him in elite matchups with PGs (he doesn't have the length like Rondo) Griffin's average do to lacking ideal length. The rest of the roster is average at best.

Compared to the Cs team that Doc won a ring with. KG, Per, Rondo, Posey and Pierce where all above the league average as defenders at their given positions.

oh he will share some of this blame, esp with his gm duties and being the highest paid coach in the league.

We have the Clips 1st round draft pick this year.  I don't care how well they do in the playoffs, but it would be nice if they underperform in the regular season.

DOC!!!! That is what is wrong with Doc's Clippers. That guy got away with so much with Boston. He acted as if he was God's gift to the Celtics. Took time off before games to watch his son play at Duke. I wonder if he will take time off from Clippers to watch his son play. He coached at Boston for how many years but did not even reside in Boston. It was nice to see him go, and get compensation for him.

He is now the problem of the Clippers. How soon will they realize they have been sold a bill of goods?
