Don't have time to check the league or do much right now for personal reasons, but was thinking of this while driving between appointments.

Pierce...Wizards...Contenders?  Beef them up?

Us...rebuilding, mismatched parts?  Willing to deal present for not-distant future?

What sayeth thou?

I'll check back when I can.

I can't think of a trade where Pierce gets a ring in Boston nor a trade where we give Wash something to get them over the top, so no, sorry.

Green is an upgrade on Porter and Danny would have to consider that trade at least.

Green for Porter + minimum salary guy works.

There is no trade we can make with Washington that makes them better than the West teams. KD would certainly help.

21 year old Porter has been super impressive lately.  Can't imagine them trading him for a career role player like Green.

Why would we make a trade to help PP win another ring?   GM's jobs do not include helping former players to win rings.

And we've tried the Pierce next to Green experiment here. I wasn't a fan of having two players at that caliber playing the same position.

The only thing that I am interested in from Washington (that could be reasonably attainable ie. not nene, gortat, beal, or wall) is Kevin Seraphin. He wouldn't help us get over the top but on a rebuilding team he would at least get a bit more run and showcase his talents.

We helped by trading him to Brooklyn. Who would have thought all these guys on the same team would equal a second round exit:

Deron Williams
Joe Johnson
Brook Lopez
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Jason Terry
AK-47
Andrey Blacthe
Shaun Livingston

He is of his second different  playoff structured built up team in two years.   Celtics did all they could to put him in the best place with KG to,win.

Not our fault .....you have to be on the Spurs or With whatever team LeBron plays on to,have a chance to,win a ring.

Life's ruff ...why care about what he does ...I don't get it at all.

I'm worrying about Boston.....he is on his own .....too bad ....so,sad....for Pierce

If you really believe it was not a robbery by the celtics (I mean the trade) you are really naive.
They landed in a good situation, but that's not the reason Danny Ainge made the trade.

I got a felling that Porter will be an border line all star at worst in a year or two, so IMHO no way WIz trade him. Kid is Durant-long, plays good D, has a nice game, and is being mentored by one of the best SF(point-forward  ;D ) the game ever had.
I saw a couple of Wiz games this year, and was just really impressed
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Derron Williams and Brook Lopez were not healthy last season, so it was basically Pierce , Joe Johnson, and the corpse of KG carrying the load, and Pierce and JJ didn't complement each other on he floor.
