BOS trades: Jeff Green
CHA trades: Cody Zeller, Gerald Henderson

Who says no? Do we need to throw in the PHI 2nds? Do they need to throw in a pick?

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Ainge says no. Not enough for Green. More valuable to your team if you keep him.

He's not going anywhere IMO. There's a reason Ainge paid him coming off surgery. Now he's a year removed and ready to live up to the slot he was drafted at.

The versatility and nba size create problems for any opponent.

As is Zeller, who is younger, cheaper, secured for a few more years, and who happens to perfectly fit a need.

I say no.

In fact,  I say "hell no".

Jeff Green was our #1 scorer last year,  and so far this year he's or #1 scorer again.

He's also been our most consistently healthy player.

We are now at  .500 and we would be lucky to be 1-5 now if we didn't have Green.  He's been arguably or best player,  and has started with far more consistency (on both ends of the court) then I've ever seen him come out with before.

Jeff Green is simply a better player

Actually the trade seems about equal value, IMO, but I still wouldn't do it. When we look back at trades, historically the team who got the best player in the deal is usually the "winner" of the trade. Not that we are keeping score but it the best player in the deal makes the biggest difference, not the overall fairness of the deal. Green is easily the best player in this proposed deal.

I understand including Green in a deal for a center, but I would want that center to be a real difference maker - like, officially our starting center for the next 10 years and a player everybody is psyched to add to Rondo.

Green alone will not get that done, but we have the pieces to make that happen in the next year (before Rondo leaves during FA). Also, Green may not be the player we want to trade unless we are sure that Turner (and then Young) can solidify the SF role. KO/Sully or Bradley may make more sense since we have a little bit of redundancy at those positions.

I think we are the losers in that trade.  I would keep Green.

You guys do realize C. Zeller is in just his second year and already posting respectable stats, right? Green has no future with this team. I'd much rather accumulate valuable assets like Zeller (who could turn into a treasure within a few years) than win 37 wins vs. 32 wins this year and then watch Green sign with another team

The funny thing about a lot of these responses is that it's likely Charlotte who says no to this.

You realize Green isn't very old and his stats are more respectable than Zeller's, right?

Jeff Green is having a great season so far.  Why a trade proposal, especially one that gives us such a low return?  I say let's ride Jeff, he can be a good piece to a play off team, why not us?

I believe people want more for Green because all the talent is proven there. And at the moment he is playing a good stretch. I also believe Rondo has to be gone before we consider trading Green for future prospects.

If Rondo is gone I would consider this deal if we also got a conditional pick like a future first if he resigns with Hornets, a 2nd if he doesn't.
