Kevin Love would fit in our offense.   Gasol would solidify our D to above average.   I'd rather roll the dice with a a top 3/4 Offense and efficiency in the league.  So I rolled with Love and our current squad.

Because we have a bunch game changers on D that can step up time to time.  And they all buy in and hustle.

Gasol is easier to build around, better facilitator and more well rounded player. Love is probably a better player but requires a lot more roster wriggling around him since he's a poor defender.

Gasol fits the current team better but you sign the 26 year old Love over the 30 year old all day.  You find another 5 man out there with some picks and Sullinger and/or Olynyk.
Good Center harder to find than a good pf

Very true but Love isn't just a good PF. He's a perennial all star & is great. Still only 26.

Tank, trade rondo and green to the lakers for their top 5 pick and take Nash and whatever garbage contracts they have.

Draft towns and another center

And offer the max and ownership of the Celtics to Gasol

Smart
Bradley
Towns
Sully
Gasol

Forget tanking.  Win, & sign Rondo to the max. Get him a stud 5 through trade, free agency, or the draft.

We're one player away from being a playoff team year in and year out. Ainge has built a "team" who all can contribute. We're just a rim protector or roll big away. Too close to just tank & give up. There is also no need because you have ammo enough to land anything you'd like in trade.
