Just curious how everyone ranks the current Celtic players.  Just on pure talent alone, who do you think the best basketball players on Boston are right now.  My guess is most folks will put Rondo #1.  Who do you think the 2nd best basketball player on the team is?  Who do you think the 3rd best is?  No cheating... this isn't about current trade value or how a player projects.  No doubt James Young has more trade value than Brandon Bass, but it's unlikely that James Young is a better basketball player than Bass at this moment.   Rank em.

I created a poll you can use:  http://www.polljunkie.com/poll/gcmmyk/rank-the-celtic-players

Results can be viewed here:  http://www.polljunkie.com/poll/djgezy/rank-the-celtic-players/view

Let me know if there's a better method than polljunkie.  :)

How would we cheat? Can we post how we voted in the thread?

I just mean... don't favor someone based on potential or position.  A lot of folks think Sully has star potential, but think hard before you rank him ahead of a player who is better right now.   Also, don't automatically assume Marcus Smart isn't currently a Top 5 talent on this team simply because he's not yet starting.   I want an honest ranking of who the best players on this team are right now.

And sure... post how you voted :)

Bass

Might switch Thornton and Bass but otherwise I feel pretty good about it.

Mine, closed the browser so now I know how I ranked them, but there are a couple who can be interchanged in the middle:

Rondo
Sullinger
Bradley

Olynyk
Bass
Turner
Thornton
Smart
Faverani
Zeller
Wallace
Young
Pressey
Powell

It was something along those lines.

17 responses in and it looks pretty tightly correlated with Brad Steven's actual rotation.

RR+JS+JG+AB+KO as starters

MS+BB+ET+MT+TZ as the rest of the ten man rotation.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

i think wallace is the rankest player on the celtics.

oh.....

you meant the OTHER rank.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
