And Olynyk will be coming up right after Sully. Just give me a base idea of the type of contract he will receive. Does he get 60 million or more. Thoughts...

If he is averaging 16/10 on over 48% fg I'd slot him at 9 to 11 million per year. 14/8 with 45% (+/- 2%) fg it's more like 6 to 8 million per.

Let's see if he shows improvement.  Last season he averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds on a dismal 43% shooting.  So far this season he's averaging 13 points and 4 rebounds.  Nice that he is starting now... hopefully he shows enough progress that he keeps the starting position.

Come on haha.

So far this season, he's averaging...in ONE GAME...hahaha.

That's like when you said (something along the lines of) your prediction that Rondo's assists would go down held true in the '13/'14 season after losing the big 3, when his per 36 assists per game were literally identical to his '12/'13 season. HIS MINUTES WENT DOWN.

I can't tell if this is a joke or what haha.

He is our best big man.  He doesn't have to show any progress to keep the starting position.

He probably should get 15-20% of the salary cap.  Right now that's $9-12 million, but when he hits free agency, that could be closer to $13-17 million, since the cap will go up a ton.

His 4 year extension off his rookie deal will start the same year the new TV money comes to fruition so I wouldn't be surprised to see a $10-11 million first year of that extension with the raises built in thereafter. Probably around a 4 year $43-48 million contract extension

hahaha  love it, Love 2.0.  Been saying since he was going to be a part of the Love deal.  Didn't want to see him dealt, thought he could become what Love is.

TP to you!!!

barring injury, that sounds about right

I think we may only keep one of them folks and I think it may be Oly.

Both these guys have decent offensive games and can guard their man average one on one on D.   They both are poor on help D.

I hope Sully and Oly command a lot of money, because it means they developed into good players.

I also think we keep both because having multiple 3 point shooting bigs really helps the floor spacing with Rondo on the court.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Next question would be, would you pay him that?

I will be very surprised if it's that low.  I think he'd get $10-11 million based on the current salary cap.  This is of course assuming he takes the steps forward this year that some think he will.  If he doesn't, then obviously I'd lower my expectations.
