I could totally see this. They lose Dwight Howard and realize their mortality. Only to be revived by the franchise-changing player in the 2015 Draft. Making me mad already!

It stinks - they'll be able to put a top big alongside Wiggins after their guaranteed lottery win last season.  Somebody take a crowbar to Smart, we need to keep up!

I don't see how Randle going down makes the Lakers worse, for this year. His development will certainly take a hit, but he's not ready make a positive impact for a team yet.

That's because college basketball is horrible and it take time to adjust.

The Lakers are horrible, but Randle was the guy with at least some upside. That was only going to happen with development, which should have happened during the season. A rookie not helping in game 1 does not tell us much about what his impact will be by game 42.

Who's going to be the first regular poster to propose a trade for Randle in which the Celtics give up very little, based on the premise that Randle is now damaged goods who the Lakers should want to dump?

I don't doubt it -- I really only pay attention to college hoops if a team is doing something interesting, though.
