Has anyone heard any more news of Rondo's availability tomorrow night? The last I heard he was going to decide at like 5, but I haven't seen anything yet.

He feels "84%" and is "a nap-time decision."
That's our captain: Enough humor to troll the people he doesn't particularly like (the media) but does it intelligently enough to not be criticized.   8) ;D

Rondo is the ultimate media troll master; And he says it with a poker face;
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

He should not play.   There is no point of risking the injury bc he is impatient to play

In addition if he can't go 100 percent , then why play?  Everyone else on the team has to play 110 percent.

Better for him to sit out for the first 2-3 games

If he's medically cleared - which he'd have to be for him playing to be a possibility - there's absolutely no reason not to play him. You not wanting him to play isn't a valid reason.

at this point, who cares if he risks injury.  He's only signed until the end of the year anyways.  Might as well go out there and try his darndest to become relevant again.

He has said for himself he is at 84 percent. And he is going to be 100 tomorrow? haha

Maybe he is like a robot or something

The unnecessary thing about all of this, is that its not the playoffs or an important game of any kind. Yet Rondo wants to force himself into the lineup

The guy just can't do things "normally" , "properly".

The issue is that you're taking the "84%" seriously and latching onto it. He also said he was a "naptime" decision. Yesterday, he said he was 79% (79 hours until tipoff). Even Brad Stevens and Kelly Olynyk joked about his percentages.

Sarcasm. Learn it.

I have this sneaking suspicion that your entire problem with his early return is that you were hankering for Smart getting a ton of minutes to start the year. Can't you just admit it without twisting it into another Rondo character attack? Any other player and the narrative would be a testimony to his toughness and what a warrior he is.

You think when he says 79, 84 percent he is joking?

The guy is prob serious lol

And how long was his injury/surgery?   Doubt he is 100 percent healed by now

or stupidity.  Like i stated it's not the playoffs or any important game. He can afford to miss a few games just to really make sure.

A part of me does hope he comesback and plays like his old 2008-2010 self.     Anything that will help make this team great is what i'm for

If your a Rondo fan, you would also not want him to comeback earlier than necessary.

And if you comeback you are going to fall diving for loose balls, getting physical to grab rebounds, fight through screens.  You need to make sure that hand won't get reinjured  (minus freak accidents)

  I'm pretty sure that the medical team makes an evaluation about whether the player's likely to re-injure themselves before they let them play. Some times it's just pain that hampers their play somewhat and the player has to decide when they feel comfortable playing. As we've seen in the past, Rondo wants to be on the court whenever possible, even if he's less than 100%. He generally plays in those situations, as he's a valuable player to have on the court (at least in the eyes of his team/coaches).
