Dallas takes the lead on the wings of Rondo and Ellis.

Rondo 17/9/7, Ellis 32/2/4, Dirk with 24 now

Maybe Carlisle should've had someone else inbound the ball...

Chandler Parsons tried a few seconds before and struggled. Why not give New Orleans credit for playing good defense in that situation? Oh that's right, because you enjoy blaming Rondo.

Global warming = Rondo's fault.

They doubled Monta, Dirk was swarmed by Davis and Parsons and Chandler were standing in the paint and looking. No one even tried to come for the ball. It was 1 point game. They had no other option but to throw it up and Davis' length and defensive hustle prevailed. Gotta give credit to NO.

In the last 10 games, Rondo has scored double figures twice and scored 2 points three times.

But what this game demonstrated is that even when Rondo, Dirk and Ellis have good games, Dallas can still lose because their bench is horrible.

They need a back-up big man (the irony). Rebounding became an issue tonight and against Chicago.

They're waiting on O'Neal and his minute long free-throw release.

Wait, you aren't seriously trying to defend the horrible pass Rondo made, right? The pass was not only short, but had no zip on it whatsoever. As for Parsons, his inbound pass was knocked away, but I doubt that was the reason he didn't inbound the ball again. Rondo's man was not covering him at all and was leaking into the paint, where all the action was taking place. So Carlisle likely switched to Rondo as the inbounds passer to create more spacing for the play to run.

At this stage I'm really hoping Minnesota, Philadelphia and New York continue to rack up the losses so they keep LA out of the bottom 3. I don't think any team can dislodge them from the 4th worst record. Just need a couple of teams from outside the bottom 5, namely Boston and whoever else, to move up and bump them to 6th.

Failing that, just keep Okafor, Towns and Mudiay out of their hands.

Dallas got smoked by the Grizz without Conley.  Rondo didn't play well but neither did any other starter.  Man, the Mavs bench is just atrocious.

And everybody who thinks they're a basketball genius ought to pay attention to exactly what Cuban has done.  He has pretty much wasted the last bit of Dirk's prime because the thought of who he could get with cap space was more enticing than keeping together a title-winning team.

Don't forget that "who he could get" was mainly the now-diminished Dwight Howard and the now-actively hurting his franchise Deron Williams.  Not a great strategy even if it had worked (well, they'd probably be ok with Howard).

That's insane.  I think he's gotten something to prove against Lilliard, who he is smoking.

LOL Cavs announcers in that game ;D

"Timofy Mozgov doing a good job on LaMarcus Aldridge....." to the toon of 38 pts on 13-23 shooting, 2-3 from deep..

Even Myers Leonard got 9 pts...C'MON MAN stop joking ;D

Great game by Kyrie, though....still believe they need to get Love more involved.

Kyrie-LeBron is NOT Michael-Scotty. Need more than two.

The Cavs and Rockets announcers are by far the worst in the league. I cannot stand listening to them. Minny's announcers, on the other hand, have been fairly decent tonight.
